Die DIN VED 0100 part 420 sec. 41 prohibits the daisy chaining of power strips in series
The main reason is that series switched power strips can increase the risk of short-circuits through the plugging/unplugging or loosely fitting contacts of a plug of the many connected consumers. The danger of a short-circuit is already high, if a socket of inferior quality from the hardware store is used, in which the contact between socket and plug is not maintained tight enough. Only GST 18 connectors allow the connection of an additional socket connection.
Therefore, beware of the power supply equipment, and avoid unnecessary potential liability situations.
